Aniket Choudhary

Aniket Vinod Choudhary is an Indian cricketer. He plays for Rajasthan in domestic cricket. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He was a member of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team in 2013. Aniket was also awarded a lucrative IPL contract in 2013, as the Kings XI Punjab franchise bought him up at the auctions. After rising to fame because of his IPL paycheck, Aniket was chosen to play for India A – the closest he ever got to a national call-up till date. Thus, he has also played for Central Zone, Royal Challengers Bangalore, India Green, India Blue.

  • During his school days, Aniket used to play basketball as there wasn’t any cricket team in his school but he used to play cricket daily in his home with a light bat and ball.
  • When his father saw his interest towards cricket, his family shifted from Bikaner to Jaipur in 2004 to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional cricketer. His father enrolled him in Surana Cricket Academy, Jaipur.
  • He later got a chance to work with the former South Africa bowler ‘Meyrick Pringle’ who worked in his late friend Shamsher Singh’s local academy in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
