Aparna Balamurali

Aparna Kishok Balamurali is an Indian actress and playback singer who works predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She first made her on-screen appearance in the film, Yathra Thudarunnu, in an uncredited role. She is known for her roles in Sunday Holiday and for portraying Sundari (Bommi) in the Tamil drama film “Soorarai Pottru” (2020) and Jimsy Augustine in the Malayalam language film, “Maheshinte Prathikaaram” (2016). Aparna is a trained classical dancer in different styles such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi. In 2013, she made her acting debut with the Malayalam language film Yathra Thudarunnu. Since childhood, she was inclined towards acting and singing and always wanted to be a successful actress and playback singer in the entertainment industry. Aparna bagged the National award for the best actress for the movie ‘Soorarai Pottru’ in July 2022
