Aparna Karup is the assistant news editor as well as the prime time anchor for the Kerala news channel News18. She began working for the channel in March in 2017 and is a part of the company ever since that time. She lives in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, where her office is located.
Aparna was also the Chief Broadcast journalist as well as the producer for a company by the name The Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Company Ltd. She joined the company in the year 2012 and continues to work there since the last 6 – 7 years. Before this position, she was the Chief Sub Editor as well as a news presenter and a show anchor in the channel.
Achievements
Postgraduate in International Media and Corporate Communications from New Zealand and Mass Communications from Madras University.
Worked with the Media giants of southern India, Mathrubhumi News and Asianet.
Have been chosen as one among the 100 women of Kerala Youth in 2015 by the Weekly ‘Samakalika Malayalam’
