Gautham Vasudev Menon, known as GVM is an Indian film Actor, director, screenwriter, and producer who primarily works in the Tamil and Hindi film industry. He began his career by writing lead roles for various Tamil films while he was studying Engineering at the university. He has directed various Telugu and Hindi films that were remakes of his own Tamil films.

Gautham has won a lot of accolades for his romantic films Minnale (2001), Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) and his thrillers Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006) and Yennai Arindhaal (2015).

Gautham’s Tamil movie “Vaaranam Aayiram” (2008) and his production “Thanga Meengal” (2013)  won the National Film Awards for the Best Feature Film in Tamil. In 2020, he has written scripts for Tamil movies, namely, Putham Pudhu Kaalai, and in 2021 he wrote scripts for Kutty Story, 99 Songs, Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, Dhruva Natchathiram (Produced), and Nadhigalile Neeradum Suriyan.
