Geetha Madhuri is an Indian playback singer and dubbing artist. She works primarily in the South Indian film industry. She gained popularity with the song “ninne ninne” from the movie Nachavule for which she won a Nandi Award as the best female playback singer. She also won two Filmfare awards. Geetha started learning classical music at a very young age under Smt. Kocherlakota Padmavati Garu. Later, she joined the ‘Little Musicians Academy’ where she got trained in light music under Ramachari Garu. She participated in a singing reality show ‘SYE Singers Challenge’ that was aired on ETV Telugu and was one of the semi-finalists. She also participated in a singing reality show ‘Super Singer Season 7’ that was aired on MAA TV. Till now, she has sung more than 550 songs. Some of the popular ones are ‘Pakka Localo’ of film ‘Janatha Garage’ (2016), ‘Darlingey’ of film ‘Mirchi’ (2013), ‘Top Lesipoddi’ of film ‘Iddarammayilatho’ (2013), ‘O My God’ of film ‘Bodyguard’ (2012), etc. Geetha also shared screen space with her husband in a Telugu short film ‘Aditi.’ She has sung in various languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. She has also sung numerous devotional songs like ‘Govinda Namalu’ of the album ‘Govinda Namalu’, ‘Madhuram Sri Shirdi Sai’, and ‘Naadho Needho’ of the album ‘Sri Shirdi Sai’, ‘Muddula Ayyappa’ of the album ‘Ayyappa’, etc. Geetha is popularly known as the ‘Shreya Ghoshal of South.’ She gave live performances at various stage shows almost all over the world. In 2018, she had participated in the controversial reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2.’
