Guru Somasundaram is an Indian actor who has primarily appeared in Tamil and Malayalam language films. He made his acting debut in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Aaranya Kaandam (2011) winning critical acclaim for his role. He also appeared in Suseenthiran’s action film Pandiya Naadu (2013), Karthik Subbaraj’s gangster film Jigarthanda (2014), and Raju Murugan’s political satire film Joker (2016). For his performance in Jigarthanda, Guru was nominated for a Vijay Award for the Best Supporting Actor in 2013. He is well associated with the 2017 movie Grahanam director by Elan, Vanjagar Ulagam (2018), and Odu Raja Odu (2018). His 2019 movies include NGK, Kolaigaran, and Asuran.
