Johny Antony hails from Changanassery in Kottayam district, Kerala. He is a known film director and actor, and is more famous for making comedy films in Malayalam cinema. He made his first directorial venture, C.I.D Moosa in the year 2003. Produced by Dileep, the movie starred Dileep and Bhavana in prominent roles. He later directed movies such as Kochi Rajavu (2005), Inspector Garud (2007), Masters (2012) and Thoppil Joppan (2016). His other releases include My Great Grandfather and Varane Avashyamund.
