Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is an Indian-based-Canadian actress, writer-director-producer, and editor who is best known for her leading role in the Netflix teen comedy series “Never Have I Ever.” She was chosen by Mindy Kaling out of 15,000 candidates that applied for an open casting call for the show in the year 2019. She also narrated the Children’s Programming portion of the 8th Canadian Screen Awards in the year 2020. In the year 2021, she was named as a Breakout Actor in Time 100’s Most Influential People. On June 2, 2021, it was declared that she will star in the Netflix romantic comedy The Netherfield Girls.
