Nawab Shah is an Indian Film and television actor. He made his debut in the year 1998 with the film “Kudrat.” He also worked alongside Arvind Swamy and Manisha Koirala in the movie “Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya.” In 2002, he worked in the film “Be-Lagaam.” He
rose to fame with the 2003-release “Escape From Taliban.” Nawab Shah became a household name after in the television series “Shaktimaan.” He played the role of Kakodar/Major JJ. His catchphrase and the great dialogue “Andhera Kayam Rahe” has been quite popular among the masses. Besides working in the cinema, Shah is equally devoted to the theatre. He has been a part of a theatrical play based on a poem, “Mukti Prasang.” Nawab has worked in movies like “Parwana,” “Woh,” “Dukaan,” “Lakshya,” “Chehra,” “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” among others. He was offered the role of the villain in Salman Khan-starrer “Bodyguard;” however, he met with an accident at the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttaranchal and could not work in the movie. He has worked in “Don 2” starring Shah Rukh Khan and portrayed the role of a villain named ‘Jabbar.’ Apart from working in Hindi movies, Nawab has also worked in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada movies. He has appeared in television serials, as well, including “Amma” and “Naagarjuna- Ek Yoddha.” In 2018, he worked in Netflix’s web-series “Sacred Games,”. On 4 July 2019, he tied the knot with former Miss India, Pooja Batra, in a secret ceremony. Contrary to the negative characters portrayed by Nawab in serials and movies, he quite sensitive and emotional in real-life.
