Preetika Rao is an Indian actress, model, former film journalist, and singer. She is best known for her portrayal of Aaliyah Haider in Colors TV’s romantic drama Beintehaa. She was highly praised by Bangladeshis people for a TVC of Danish Condensed Milk. Rao started her career as a model with an advertisement for ‘Cadbury Dairy Milk’, alongside Amitabh Bachchan. She got a breakthrough role in 2011 in the Tamil film ‘Chikku Bukku.’ She has won several awards for her role of ‘Aaliya Zain Abdullah’ in the TV serial ‘Beintehaa’ (2013-2014), such as Zee Gold Awards (2014) for Best Jodi with Harshad Arora & for Best Debut Actor, Indian Television Academy Award (2014) for GR8! ON-Screen Couple Of The Year with Harshad Arora, and 23rd Kalakar Award (2015) for Best Actor. In 2016, she also participated in the sport-reality entertainment show ‘Box Cricket League’ (BCL).
