Raj Kundra is a British Businessman and Entrepreneur, who is best known as the husband of the great Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty since 2009. He was ranked as the 198th richest British Asian by Success in 2004. He began his career as a businessman right from an early age by selling Pashmina Shawls from Nepal in the wide areas of the London market. He was associated with Essential Sports and Media which was involved with production and distribution apart from sports, and Iconic Investments, a private fund trading in equity markets.
Raj is the co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Rajasthan Royals. He has made large investments in it. His other ventures include Satyug Gold, Super Fight League, and more recently Bastian Hospitality a famous restaurant chain in Mumbai. He is also one of the promoters along with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar of the online and television broadcast platform Best Deal TV, an Indian television home shopping channel capitalizing on celebrity endorsements.
Raj also owns the company named Viaan Industries started in 2014 which deals in Entertainment, Gaming, Licensing, Technology & Animation. Recently, he was arrested for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic content and films on 19th July 2021.
