Suchitra Pillai

Suchitra Pillai is an Indian actress, model, anchor, and VJ. A graduate in electronic engineering, she chose a career in arts over-engineering. She is best known for playing the role of ‘Roopa Kumar’ in the film, “The Valley.” At the age of 17, she received her first modeling offer, and did a few modeling assignments and later, went to London, where she pursued a course in TV studio production. While in London, Suchitra bagged a French film, “Le prix d’une femme.” Subsequently, she worked in the English film “Guru in Seven.” Suchitra made her Hindi film debut with the film, “Everybody Says I’m Fine.” Some of her other Hindi films include, “Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai,” “Dil Chahta Hai,” “Page 3,” “Pyaar Ke Side Effects,” “Fitoor,” and “The valley.” Suchitra has also worked in several TV shows, like “Hip Hip Hurray,” “Pradhan Mantri (Zee),” “Beintehaa,” and “Ek Shringaar-Swabhiman.” She has also worked as a voice-over artist for many Hindi versions of English films, like “Live Free or Die Hard,” “Beowulf,” and “The Dark Knight.” In July 2015, she featured on the cover of the “Better Homes and Gardens” Magazine.
