Sana Makbul started her career in modeling, and went on to appear in advertisements and TV shows. In 2009, she appeared on the reality show MTV Scooty Teen Diva. Makbul made her acting debut with the teen musical series- Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De (2010) In 2012 she participated in Femina Miss India and won the subtitle Femina Miss Beautiful Smile.
Sana Makbul made her film debut with the Telgu film, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya (2014). In 2021, she has participated in the stunt based reality TV show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, as a contestant.
