Forbes, the global media company, focused on business, investing, technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and lifestyle has come out with the top 10 highest paid list of actresses of 2020. Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has bagged and topped the spot with earnings of $43 million. While Vergara has topped the list with her earnings of $43 million. Forbes reported, that Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie secured the second position with $35 million and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot ($31 million) stood third.
Forbes stated Sofia’s impressive earnings to her fat paycheck from Modern Family’s’ $500,000 per episode – and as a judge on the reality TV show America’s Got Talent, with an estimated $10 million per season. Modern Family running successfully came to an end in April this year with 11 seasons.
The fourth spot was grabbed by Melissa McCarthy ($25 million), fifth by Meryl Streep ($24 million) and sixth spot by Emily Blunt ($22.5 million) respectively. The list also features Nicole Kidman at no 7 position with $22 million, Ellen Pompeo at 8th position with $19 million, and Elisabeth Moss at no 9 with 16 million. Viola Davis winds up the ranking list at the 10th spot with $15.5 million. Interestingly, Forbes also reported that Scarlett Johansson, who had topped last year, couldn’t make it to the top 10. No Indian actress could make it to the list.
Forbes also reported earlier this year that actor Dwayne Johnson, with his earnings estimated at $87.5 million, to be the Highest-Paid Actor of 2020. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar was the only Indian celebrity on the list who held the fourth spot with his earnings estimated at $48.5 million.
